About Inlet Recovery Home
Opening Summer 2026, Inlet Recovery Home is an 8-bed stabilization and supportive recovery program in Port Alberni funded and referred through Island Health. The program will provide adults experiencing substance use challenges and co-occurring mental health needs with a safe, structured, and substance-free recovery environment.
Residents may stay between 30 and 90 days while receiving person-centred support focused on stability, daily living, and recovery. Staff are onsite 24/7 to support residents as they build routines, strengthen independence, and reconnect with health and community services.
Residents have access to:
- Private and shared living spaces
- A substance-free living environment
- 24/7 onsite staff support
- Laundry facilities and daily living supports
- Connections to health care and community services
- Recovery-oriented and person-centred supports
- Goal planning and life skills development
This program allows people to access treatment closer to home in a supportive, community‑based setting.
Funded through the Ministry of Health and Island Health, the service is part of the Province of British Columbia’s Road to Recovery strategy, helping strengthen access to a seamless continuum of care, from withdrawal management to treatment and aftercare services.
