About the Bursary
Connective is proud to announce the Dan Muzzin Educational Bursary 2025, a one-time $2,000 award for a business student at North Island College (NIC). We’re accepting applications from September 8 to October 10, 2025.
Dan Muzzin served on Connective’s Board of Directors for 10 years until 2023. An accountant by trade, Dan is passionate about giving back to his community, advocating for education, and supporting people facing barriers. In recognition of his roots, preference for this bursary may be given to applicants who completed secondary school in Campbell River.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
Be enrolled in a post-secondary business program at NIC, self-disclose financial need, and share the impact of this bursary on their financial needs, why they chose to study at NIC, and how they hope to make an impact through their career and/or community involvement.
How to Apply
Students must submit the bursary application form, and a personal statement (up to 750 words) to awards@connective.ca.
Use of Funds
Funds will be awarded directly to the student’s NIC account. They will cover any outstanding tuition, with any remaining balance carried forward to the next semester.

Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, with the final recipient chosen by Dan Muzzin. The recipient will be notified by phone and email.
