Connective provides a continuum of recovery services within a recovery-oriented system of care, supporting individuals through every stage of their recovery journey as they work toward a substance-free life – from stabilization and treatment to housing, aftercare, and long-term support.

Grounded in recovery best practices, and aiming for long-term recovery and sustained wellness, our programs foster safe, inclusive environments where individuals of all genders and backgrounds can build connection, purpose, and stability. Through integrated wraparound supports, we provide access to clinical addiction treatment and counselling, medical and medication management services, cultural healing and land-based programming, life skills development, employment readiness, and educational support.

Our relationship-centered approach recognizes that connection is essential to recovery. Through compassionate, relationship-centered practice, staff, peers, and participants work together to build trust, resilience, and belonging. Our teams are trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborate closely with healthcare and community partners to provide integrated, supportive care.

Gateway Recovery Communities

Gateway programs provide short-term stabilization for adults in a safe, structured, and substance-free environment. These staff-led programs focus on fostering meaningful engagement in programming, while helping residents build the stability, life skills, and readiness for transition into therapeutic communities and longer-term supports. Through individualized and person-directed recovery planning, residents build routines, strengthen independence, and reconnect with health and community services.

Traditional Therapeutic Communities

Traditional Therapeutic Communities are highly structured, peer-led recovery programs grounded in the belief that the community itself is the primary agent of healing and change. They focus on measurable outcomes and recovery milestones while emphasizing mutual self-help, accountability, and social learning through shared experience. Residents build recovery capital as they participate in shared governance, building leadership, responsibility, and ownership of their recovery and community wellbeing. Clear routines and roles create stability, purpose, and consistency, while staff support the process as facilitators of the model.

Modified Therapeutic Communities

Modified Therapeutic Communities share many of the same principles as Traditional Therapeutic Communities, while supporting individuals who require more multidisciplinary care. These programs offer greater flexibility and integrate clinical, medical, mental health, and housing supports, filling a gap for individuals who need recovery services alongside higher levels of care needs.
