About Bladerunners
Bladerunners provides certifications, training, and life skills to youth aged 15-30 to help them obtain sustainable employment and succeed in the job market. The six-week program prepares youth for entry into the workforce and supports them in achieving their self-identified employment goals.
The Bladerunners model also provides benefits to employers who are connected with youth that are committed to working in a selected industry. Our dedicated Bladerunners coordinator provides ongoing support to both parties.
Life and job readiness skills training includes:
- Goal setting
- Planning
- Motivation
- Self-Esteem

The international, award-winning program also provides emergency or enhanced short-term supports tailored to the needs of individual participants who have one or more additional barriers to employment (such as emergency childcare, food/nutrition assistance, or transportation arrangements), or who require specialized training to be placed into a specific job opportunity.
There are many compounding and intersectional barriers that may hinder an individual’s ability to pursue their goals, including homelessness, problematic substance use, developmental disabilities, and involvement in the criminal justice system, among others. Bladerunners’ person-centered approach helps to, wherever possible, address and reduce these barriers to connect people with suitable and sustainable employment.
