About IMPS

IMPS supports individuals on conditional release from federal or provincial institutions as they work to reintegrate into the Kamloops community. IMPS works specifically with those who are women, Indigenous, elderly, or who are affected by a mental disorder or a brain injury or otherwise facing additional barriers.

The program provides person-centered, wraparound supports that are tailored to the needs and goals of each participant. This can include:

  • Outreach services
  • Life skills support
  • Crisis intervention
  • Group socialization
  • Recreation
  • Connections to community resources
  • Family supports, as needed

IMPS helps individuals transition from institutions and build positive connections to help them feel safe and included in their chosen community.
