About 3rd & London Transitional Housing

The transitional housing program at 3rd and London is part of the BC Government’s HEARTH (Homeless Encampment Action Response Temporary Housing Programs) initiative.

It offers temporary supportive residential units and 24/7 wraparound support to 42 individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The site uses modular construction, where each unit is a private room and residents have access to shared washrooms, laundry facilities, amenity and dining areas.

Residents receive two meals each day, as well as access to a range of supports including wellness checks, healthcare and community service referrals, outreach, life-skills training, and help with their transition into supportive and independent housing, which is the ultimate goal.

We are grateful for the opportunity to expand our services in the community through the operation of this new transitional housing development. Over the coming months we will continue to work to identify additional supports and partnerships to support residents.

We are excited to work with the wider community to ensure the program has a positive impact on both residents and the neighbourhood.

Admission Criteria

Residents must be over 19 years of age. As part of the province’s Homeless Encampment Action Response Temporary Housing initiative, a focus will be placed on individuals currently sheltering in encampments, or otherwise experiencing homelessness.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit a completed supportive housing registry form to BC Housing. It is recommended that an updated form be submitted every 6 months. The application can be found online, or at your local BC Housing branch.

A Vulnerability Assessment Tool (VAT) is another useful item that BC Housing recommends people complete to better qualify for supportive housing. For more information on VAT’s, or to inquire on the status of your supportive housing application, contact the Prince George BC Housing branch at  (250) 562-9251, 1380 2 Ave, Prince George, BC V2L 3B5
