About ACES
ACES (Acquiring Community-Based Employment Skills) provides certificate-based training, along with life skills and employment readiness workshops to individuals facing multiple barriers to employment. The program is offered by Connective and regional delivery partners across BC.
ACES staff work with participants to identify their career goals, and gain access to courses, training, and job readiness supports to help them achieve those goals.
The program supports people to achieve their personalized employment goals through training and support including:
- Resume and cover letter development
- Certificate-based training
- Interview skills training
- Supported work experience
- One-to-one support and mentorship
- Continued training and follow-up supports
The program is designed to meet the needs of people with barriers to employment including older adults, people who have experienced violence and/or abuse, youth, people with disabilities, and people with criminal justice involvement.
